Technical Details

The project involves the detailed design, bidding and Author’s supervision for the improvement works of the 35.4 km long road section of Corridor 5: “R13 – lvanovca – Izvoare – Vanţina – Ocolina – M2”. The corridor passes through several villages, including lvanovca, Sevirova, Alexandrovca, Scaleni, Căinarii Vechi, Izvoare, Vanţina, Ocolina, Tepilova and Lugovoe.

The improvement works include:

  • Pavement Treatment: Implementing high-quality, durable pavement solutions to ensure long-lasting performance, improved ride quality, and a smooth, comfortable travel experience for all road users
  • Hydraulic Works: Delivering comprehensive water management systems, including culverts, river training, ditches, channels, and outfall pipes, to efficiently control water flow, mitigate erosion, and prevent flooding
  • Safety Measures: Prioritizing road safety with the installation of clear, strategically placed road signs, high-visibility road markings, and robust safety barriers, providing enhanced protection for both drivers and pedestrians
  • Auxiliary Works: Enhancing infrastructure and connectivity through additional improvements, including access roads, drainage systems, bus lay-bys, and shelters, pedestrian crossings, major junction upgrades, and side-road connections, ensuring seamless and safe mobility for all users

The improvement works include:

  • Design specifications
    • Speed Limits: 40 km/h in residential areas and 60 km/h in rural areas
    • Carriageway Width: 7 meters
    • Pavement Lifespan: 15 years.
