Technical Details
OBERMEYER has provided consultancy services to Egnatia Odos S.A. (design and checking) for over 100 structures since 1999. The project concerns bridges of various types and sizes (overpasses, underpasses, river bridges, canal bridges, culverts). Below are two indicative, constructed structures for which the final design was elaborated by OBERMEYER:
– A three-span prestressed bridge with a total length of 102 m, located at subsection 11.1 “Rentina – Asprovalta.” The superstructure consists of a single-cell box girder with a width of 11.50 m and is connected to the abutments through elastomeric bearings. The connection between the superstructure and the piers is monolithic.
– Two independent bridges, each with a single span for each branch, located at section 11.1 “Nymfopetra – Rentina.” The superstructure consists of a single-cell box girder made of prestressed concrete. The bridge spans over a river that flows into the southernly located Lake Volvi. The span is 39 m for the left branch and 47 m for the right branch. The superstructure has a width of 12.60 m for both branches.










Services Provided
OBERMEYER was assigned the design in all stages (conceptual, preliminary and final) and checking of the final design of several structures within the framework of various contracts. The design included the foundation and hydraulic design.
